AGCO will introduce the latest generation of application equipment including new models of the TerraGator high-volume flotation applicator and the RoGator high-clearance applicator. The new model year 2011 TerraGator — to be unveiled at MAGIE — has been redesigned to deliver even greater power, precision, responsiveness and fuel efficiency. The new model year 2011 RoGator will carry significant enhancements above and beyond product features such as the 6-post Advanced Application Cab, “C” channel frame and front entry that have made RoGator the industry’s premier high-clearance sprayer. Several new TerraGator and RoGator models will be available for inspection and ride-and-drive at the AGCO Application Equipment display in lot number 618 at MAGIE.

Ag Leader Technology’s OptRx crop sensor system measures and records data about a crop in real-time using the reflectance of light shined on the growing crop. Sensors can be mounted on virtually any type of vehicle to collect information while driving through the field. Information collected, including vegetative index, can then be utilized to measure the impact of nutrients, water, disease and other growing conditions on crops. The data is logged and mapped for further analysis, or for real-time variable rate applications. Using OptRx in conjunction with a compatible Ag Leader display, operators can create a nitrogen prescription that adjusts the rate of application on-the-go. Nitrogen is applied at a rate that maximizes yield potential in all areas of the field while avoiding excessive nitrogen rates common to flat rate applications. This technology allows the operator to put nitrogen where the crop needs it, leading to input cost efficiency as well as less environmental impact.

Enviro-Coat Rust Resister

Enviropac Inc. is the exclusive manufacturer of Enviro-Coat Rust Resister. Fertilizer products are corrosive and cause rusting and early tank failure of mild steel storage tanks. Enviro-Coat protects the interior of mild steel fertilizer tanks.
It floats on top of the fertilizer and clings to the interior sidewall, forming a protective coating that seals out air and corrosive fluids. It does not mix with the fertilizer and provides year-long protection.

The New Leader MultiBin transforms a single hopper into three hoppers, reducing the number of trips across the field and decreasing fuel costs, labor hours and compaction of the soil, thus increasing the return on investment. The front two hoppers dispense fertilizer products while the single hopper at the rear dispenses micro-nutrients or seeding products. The micro-nutrient hopper can also be split to create a fourth hopper. The large capacities of each hopper section allow users to cover more acres, reduce fill time while increasing productivity and maintain an accurate spread pattern.

The KBH Corp. of Clarksdale, Miss., manufacturer of quality fertilizer and seed equipment for over 50 years, once again will exhibit its products at this year's MAGIE show. Featured will be a 2009 26-Ton Dry Fertilizer Tender Trailer constructed of 304 stainless steel, hydraulic hopper with vibrators and Deutz diesel engine. KBH will also exhibit its ST350 Bulk Seed Tender featuring a KSI cleated belt assembly and Honda electric start engine with self-contained hydraulic system and remote operation.

Model 8691 is a large storage tank with available capacities up to 30,000 gallons. This model is available in 304 and 316 stainless steel with a flat bottom or cone bottom design. Various inlets and outlets are available to satisfy individual requirements. The picture illustrates a 20,000 gallon 304 cone bottom tank.

Smaller Retail Fertilizer Plants

These incredibly efficient and affordable plants range in size from 5,000 to 12,000 tons. They can be custom designed to accommodate almost any need you might have. Typically, these plants will have self-regulating rail/truck receiving system with capacities from 150 to 400 TPH. They can utilize a vertical or rotary floor blender and load-out system or a Waconia blend tower. The plant pictured is an 11,100 ton plant in Atwater, Minn. Plant has a 250-TPH receiving system, a 150-TPH reclaim system and a 150-ton capacity, 9-bin blending tower.

You can spray with more than one tip at the same location to optimize coverage, drift control...and results. Dual tip application lets you apply smaller droplets, even at high flow rates and speeds, to obtain optimal application results. Combo-Rate II nozzle bodies mount just like conventional nozzle bodies, which allows them to be utilized for new and retrofit applications.
